Sneaker customizer Vick Almighty is back with another show-stopping concept—and this time, he’s bringing together two of the most iconic silhouettes in Jordan Brand history. For the third installment in his Jordan Fusion Series, Vick set his sights on merging the Air Jordan 2 with the Air Jordan 3, creating a fully wearable hybrid that feels equal parts retro and revolutionary.
But don’t let the concept fool you—this wasn’t a simple mashup. The build took four donor pairs, dozens of hours in the lab, and a level of craftsmanship only Vick could deliver.
The Deconstruction Process
Every great custom starts with a breakdown. Vick carefully deconstructed each pair, pulling midsoles, separating uppers, and removing logos and heel tabs with surgical precision. Once all the components were laid out, he went to work prepping each piece—eliminating glue, sanding down old materials, and ensuring every surface was clean and ready for reconstruction.
Details That Make the Difference
One of the most striking details in this build? The coffee-dyed Jordan 3 sole and heel tab, which Vick custom-tinted to match the aged upper of the Jordan 2. This subtle but effective touch gave the pair a vintage aesthetic that feels straight out of a ‘90s archive— without faking the funk.
From there, Vick spent hours fine-tuning the simulated stitching, shaping, and placement to achieve a factory-quality finish in the final product. Every detail was considered: proportions, symmetry, and flow from heel to toe.
