How to Clean Nike Dunks
As fall arrives, so does holiday traditions; like carving pumpkins for Halloween, and family dinners for Thanksgiving. With all that food comes a danger zone for your sneakers. We put our cleaner to the ultimate autumn test – by launching pumpkin puree, dumping Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spice Latte, and smashing whipped cream covered pumpkin pie on our Nike SB Dunks. Step 1: Pumpkin Puree (Halloween Challenge)
Step 2: Pumpkin Pie (Thanksgiving Challenge)
Step 3: Starbuck's Pumpkin Spice Latte (School Finals Challenge)
Step 4: Decorate with Whipped Cream
Time to Clean:
- Rinse any excess food particles off of the shoe.
- Using an all natural cleaner, pour a small amount into a bowl with water and mix with a delicate bristled brush.
- With the same soft brush, apply the solution mixture to the shoe in circular motions. Continue until clean.
- Pat dry with a microfiber towel and let the shoe dry.
- Lastly, if the shoe has suede like these Nike SB Dunks, there is a chance that the suede has hardened. To fix, comb out the nap using a brass bristle brush - making sure you are brushing in only one direction.
